Over the weekend I was out taking pictures with a photographer from Ohio, Jan Bell, who owns
this cute and highly alert black doggie... Well, Jan really loves Brock, so I heard
a plethora of stories of Jan's adventures with his dog...
--Oh, I guess dogs can be just as fun as cats, but I think Kitty would see it from
a different perspective...

Actually, they're on the public side of the Capitol

A few days ago I realized that Kitty's flea situation was getting out of control, so after
flea-combing the holy-heck out of her I doused the back of her neck with Frontline®...
Not that I enjoy putting poisons on Kitty, but it's really the only way to effectively
deal with the little buggers...
The fleas are gone now, and Kitty's fur is noticeably softer -- her skin seems relaxed...
She seems much happier... Happy enough for Spanish lessons...

Here's the poop: Up until two years ago Kitty never had a
litter box -- she always went outside...
But then I got feeling sorry for her, and thought I would bring her into the world
of twenty-first century plumbing -- or at least let her share a little space for her
litter box in my bathroom... --But you probably know how litter boxes are -- they're
a real drag -- and I've been doing my best to switch Kitty back to going outside again...
She is doing just fine with my inconsistencies, and I've left her the option of still
being able to use the litter box -- which she occasionally does...

Mickey was my dog when I was a kid -- many, many years ago -- and his primary mission
in life, besides going for walks, was to dig out of his yard and go exploring on his
own... On the other hand, Kitty doesn't need to be fenced -- and she certainly
doesn't need a leash... I'd like to think it's because her lover -- although of
a different species -- is close to home...

Kitty couldn't go, but yesterday I went to the Marin County Fair and couldn't help notice
how many fair-goers were gnawing away at freshly roasted
corn-on-the-cob, slathered in butter
with a stick for a handle... I was reminded how Kitty prefers hers raw, without
butter or the stick...

A month ago, and it might have been two, a nice fellow wrote me to point out that I had
spelled the word "bachelor" incorrectly on my info page... And REALLY, I have been
intending to fix that error, and I really appreciate the fellow pointing it out to me, but
it seems to have turned into one of those little projects that
never seems to get done... And I swear -- I am going to actually get that
"t" removed, some day...

is her appetite... But I don't think she is actually all that hungry -- it seems to
be a little game she plays to see just how far I will go to cater to her every whim...
And so far she has been winning -- The score is now about 20,000 to 0...
I get the feeling that if she were to feed me something, it would be a sucker...

Someone told me this was going to happen as Kitty got older, but these days she spends
relatively little time
outside...
Oh, she still goes outside to do her "business", and she still enjoys absorbing the
warmth of the sun late in the afternoon -- but other than that, she pretty much just hangs out
in the house manufacturing her famous brand of "Z"'s...
