Actually, they're on the public side of the Capitol
Building fence... And even though I didn't see any signs prohibiting the public

A few days ago I realized that Kitty's flea situation was getting out of control, so after
flea-combing the holy-heck out of her I doused the back of her neck with Frontline®...
Not that I enjoy putting poisons on Kitty, but it's really the only way to effectively
deal with the little buggers...
The fleas are gone now, and Kitty's fur is noticeably softer -- her skin seems relaxed...
She seems much happier... Happy enough for Spanish lessons...

Here's the poop: Up until two years ago Kitty never had a
litter box -- she always went outside...
But then I got feeling sorry for her, and thought I would bring her into the world
of twenty-first century plumbing -- or at least let her share a little space for her
litter box in my bathroom... --But you probably know how litter boxes are -- they're
a real drag -- and I've been doing my best to switch Kitty back to going outside again...
She is doing just fine with my inconsistencies, and I've left her the option of still
being able to use the litter box -- which she occasionally does...

Someone told me this was going to happen as Kitty got older, but these days she spends
relatively little time
outside...
Oh, she still goes outside to do her "business", and she still enjoys absorbing the
warmth of the sun late in the afternoon -- but other than that, she pretty much just hangs out
in the house manufacturing her famous brand of "Z"'s...

Watching the zeal at which Kitty dives into a piece of corn-on-the-cob reminds me of those wild
competitive eating
contest at Nathans Hot Dogs... Go for it, Kitty!

Beyond
eyesight,

bag of kibble
around here at Kittyland, Kitty can't resist sticking her whole head into the bag for a few
seconds to get a super-concentrated whiff... She emerges from the bag with
crossed eyes -- and if she could talk I bet she would be slurring her words...
