It seems like the older Kitty gets, the more she just wants to lay around the house
and sleep... But today it was such a nice day that I spotted her on the porch outside
soaking up some warm afternoon sun...

This blue-eyed
mysterious visitor
has been passing through our yard for quite a while now...
It's a sweet cat, but it won't let me pet it... Kitty really didn't approve
when it first started coming around -- she would hiss and growl -- but I think this pretty
cat's non-assuming manner and stark beauty has finally won Kitty over...

Oh, it's not that Kitty doesn't like dogs -- that really isn't the point...
After all, she spent the first three years of her life living with two rambunctious

for achieving inner peace...

I thought this joke
would get a laugh out of Kitty, but apparently not...
A dog went to a telegram office, took out a blank form and wrote: "Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof." The clerk examined the paper and politely told the dog, "There are only nine words here. You could send another 'Woof' for the same price." The dog replied, "But that would make no sense at all!"

If you're going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some
flowers
in your hair
If you're going to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle people there
For those who come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there
In the streets of San Francisco
Gentle people with flowers in their hair
All across the nation such a strange vibration
People in motion
There's a whole generation with a new explanation
People in motion people in motion
For those who come to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there
If you come to San Francisco

Here's the poop: Up until two years ago Kitty never had a
litter box -- she always went outside...
But then I got feeling sorry for her, and thought I would bring her into the world
of twenty-first century plumbing -- or at least let her share a little space for her
litter box in my bathroom... --But you probably know how litter boxes are -- they're
a real drag -- and I've been doing my best to switch Kitty back to going outside again...
She is doing just fine with my inconsistencies, and I've left her the option of still
being able to use the litter box -- which she occasionally does...

A month ago, and it might have been two, a nice fellow wrote me to point out that I had
spelled the word "bachelor" incorrectly on my info page... And REALLY, I have been
intending to fix that error, and I really appreciate the fellow pointing it out to me, but
it seems to have turned into one of those little projects that
never seems to get done... And I swear -- I am going to actually get that
"t" removed, some day... I think Kitty
appreciates
my good intentions...

I think the only thing on Kitty bigger than her
head
is her appetite... But I don't think she is actually all that hungry -- it seems to
be a little game she plays to see just how far I will go to cater to her every whim...
And so far she has been winning -- The score is now about 20,000 to 0...
I get the feeling that if she were to feed me something, it would be a sucker...

Oh, Kitty isn't much of a
reader...
But she has a lifetime of real life experiences that have given her the type
of wisdom that goes way beyond facts, figures, and the philosophy of men...

Someone told me this was going to happen as Kitty got older, but these days she spends
relatively little time
outside...
Oh, she still goes outside to do her "business", and she still enjoys absorbing the
warmth of the sun late in the afternoon -- but other than that, she pretty much just hangs out
in the house manufacturing her famous brand of "Z"'s...

Watching the zeal at which Kitty dives into a piece of corn-on-the-cob reminds me of those wild

And don't let someone slip you a dog...

Beyond
eyesight,
I have the feeling that Kitty can see the true nature of things... That just might
be why she likes to spend a fair amount of her time in dark and quiet places...

After all these years Kitty is a
standard fixture
here at Kittyland... She wears many hats, and has many responsibilities...
I'm just guessing, but I think one of her favorite things to do around here
is to make me laugh...

Every time we bust open a new
bag of kibble
around here at Kittyland, Kitty can't resist sticking her whole head into the bag for a few
seconds to get a super-concentrated whiff... She emerges from the bag with
crossed eyes -- and if she could talk I bet she would be slurring her words...
