Well, jeeezzzzz.... -- who would have thought there might be a conflict between Kitty's spiritual duties as Weed Goddess, and her occasional volunteer work as County Weed Inspector over at City Hall... But some bureaucrat spotted the
conflict of interest
and raised a big stink, so I think if she must make a choice, Kitty will let City Hall take a flying-leap.

I think Kitty is struggling with figuring out whether
corn
is a weed or a vine...
I would like to assure her that it's a vine, but I know that's wrong without even Googling it, so I'm just going to try to avoid the subject, and
Kitty can continue to go on thinking that corn is within her realm... What she doesn't know won't matter... But hopefully, our corn crop won't be stunted by uncredentialed blessings...

A few days ago I mentioned that Kitty was a cat goddess,
but I neglected to report that her exact title, which closely mirrors her duties,
is goddess of all
weeds and vines...
Blessed be all weeds and vines... Amen...

This photo of Kitty was
so blue
that it almost went to the delete folder, but then I saw it had qualities worth salvaging...
I succeeded at pulling out a lot of blue from your face, Kitty, but I left you a lot of blue in the background, because I know you like a lot of blue in your backgrounds...

I've never been able to figure out the idiosyncrasies of how Kitty rotates, but
Flash® uses
time as an object
to calculate rotation. If you have Flash® (and nothing better to do), you can read how to make your own Flash® analog clock over at:
http://flash7analogclock.blogspot.com
The following is an exciting sneak-peek at it's javascript (actionscript):
// START OF .AS
time=new Date(); // time object
seconds = time.getSeconds()
minutes = time.getMinutes()
hours = time.getHours()
hours = hours + (minutes/60);
seconds = seconds*6; // calculates seconds
minutes = minutes*6; // calculates minutes
hours = hours*30; // calculates hours
sec._rotation=seconds; // gives rotation
min._rotation=minutes; // gives rotation
hour._rotation=hours; // gives rotation
// END OF .AS

At the time when a cat is emotionally mature enough to understand;
a parent, guardian, caregiver, (or in my case; indentured servant), is supposed to fulfill their responsibility by sitting down with their cat and explaining a few of the delicate facts of life. Such as about that moon...

No, I didn't feed Kitty all of those pieces of corn at once... I've just been too lazy to clean up after her...
Now, if you're brand-new to KittyBLOG you may not know that Kitty is exceptionally fond of raw corn-on-the-cob -- be it fresh from the field, or those yucky little thawed frozen cobbettes...
I often get some interesting reactions from people when I mention that my cat
really enjoys corn-on-the-cob...
Some people think it's really wierd, and other people think I'm just nuts, but it never fails to get some sort of reaction...
Actually, corn isn't really all that good of a food, because it really doesn't have much nutrition, and it is just starch -- and who the heck needs to eat a lot of starch? -- but Kitty just loves it, and when it comes down to it -- a day without corn would be unthinkable !!!

Ah yes, Kitty's window mounted

From this vantage point Kitty can observe the world from both sides -- in and out -- without having to commit to either... It's also a good way for her to keep her butt warm...

Kitty is a durable cat, and I am exceedingly grateful that we have never had any reason whatsoever to visit the vet... But that almost changed a few days ago when I noticed her favoring her
right-front leg,
but she was still able to walk on it, albeit gingerly, so I decided to wait and see if it got any better -- and it has, so I am extremely happy about that...

lying in wait...

I rented Kitty an extra-small version of the same
gorilla suit
I'm going to wear for Halloween, but she has already indicated, in no uncertain terms, that she isn't going to put it on... And I just checked, but the costume shop is all out of extra-large cat suits, so to tell you the truth, I'm not exactly sure what we're going to do...

About 98% of the time Kitty could probably care less, but during the remaining 2% she seems to be absolutely infatuated, if not in love with me. Am I worthy? -- of course not, but we're keeping that a little secret.

The day is still young, but Kitty has already managed to; 1) distribute hair up my nose; 2) walk across the keyboard; 3) decide she no longer likes Friskies Prime Cuts of beef with gravy; and 4) stage a protest sit-in on my lap in such a way as to make it darned-near impossible for me to type...
I suggested she go
outside
and find something to terrorize...

genuine little person inside those furry boundarys...

I remember reading that the reason cats have
slit-shaped pupils
is because a slit is physically able to open wider than a round hole...
And yes, that sounds logical, but I still think cats use this narrow slit to filter out
extraneous things of this world they would rather not see...

Beyond actual
eyeball science
lies the theoretical area of vision...
You see, modern science seems to think that eyeballs are for receiving only, however cats seem to have the ability to send with their eyes, as well...

The official Kittyland party affiliation is aligned with the Democrats, but the curious title of Senator Trent Lott's new book

Well, I can tell you two things that a few years ago I would have absolutely guaranteed never would ever happen to me... 1: Being best-buddies with a cat, and 2: Listening to classical music... But (1) I am, and (2) I do... Who would have thunk...
Ok, by now we all know everything about Kitty, but I want to spread the word that even though you may not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can
listen to my favorite radio station, KDFC-FM on-line... Take my word for it, this is one classical station that won't drive you up the wall... I like to think of it as popular classical, and in the morning it is hosted by a kindly fellow named Hoyt Smith. On occasion, Hoyt and traffic-gal Dusti Rhodes share an anecdote or two about their cats -- and on Wednesday Hoyt was telling how his cat had brought in a captured mouse, only to place it in it's waterbowl... I had to chuckle when Dusti surmised that Hoyt's cat may have been making him a bowl of mouse-soup...
