I used to think I was the only sane person in my family, but that was before I began trying to get a reaction out of Kitty by showing her pictures of herself on the monitor.   She is willing to look, but I have never been able to get a rise out of her, even with  stretched Photoshop ears.

Most everything in Kitty's life is structured and carefully designed to jive with the natural order of things, but sometimes she gets things turned around and mixed up.   She insisted, but I tried my best to explain that standard procedure is to get arrested before getting  mug shots.

I should have minded my own business, but I accidently overheard Kitty's phone conversation with someone about some really tasty weed.   I didn't hear the "s" on the end, so of course I thought she was referring to that notorious substance, but no, she meant the common garden varieties of weeds so abundant this time of year.    in the garden, munching a weed

The only drawback to taking Kitty's picture is that she knows much more about photography than me.   I know she is only trying to be helpful, but my camera is completely automatic and takes color pictures, so Kitty, I really don't need a complete discourse on the zone system every time I point-and-shoot.     Here she is, sitting for her portrait.

As close as I can figure, Kitty is just about exactly ten years old.   We've made March 1 the official date, and we'll be celebrating with a party!!!
